ScreedScreed

To add the finishing touch to your internal floors, DTS can offer a range of screeds to suite all manner of applications, from commercial to residential and even specialist mixes.

DTS can offer screeds for standard floor finishes, a mix for the increasingly popular underfloor heating applications or even a higher quality mix for floors subject to heavy footfall traffic.

4:1 Standard Screed

A blend of cement and sand incorporating a retarder, providing a flat, hard, level surface ready for a floor covering.

Benefits

  • Retarded for greater workability
  • Ready-mixed to ensure a constant strength.

Fibre Screed

Polypropylene fibres can be added to the mortar at the mixing stage to help reduce cracking and increase the strength.

Benefits

  • Ready-mixed to ensure a consistent strength
  • Ideally suited for use with underfloor heating
  • Greater strength/resistance

Early Strength Screed

An early strength screed will provide a faster drying time without losing any strength

Flowing Screed

Flowing screeds offer numerous advantages over standard screed, not least the speed of application, meaning less manpower is needed to complete the job. The surface finish using a flowing screed will typically be much smoother and it is possible to lay thinner, without sacrificing any strength or durability.

Specialist Screed

DTS can supply screeds for non-standard applications, for example screeds required for hospitals, schools or even wet areas.

Good Practice - Required surface preparation

The surface on which the screed is to be applied should be structurally sound and free from excessive dust, dirt or contaminants such as oil and grease.
